Tom Hardman Limited began in 2010 with the sale of a single Porsche 993 from the roadside in Carleton-in-Craven. Tom and Helen used their first house deposit to start the business, working from a tiny 400 sq ft ex-cow shed; driven by love of cars, customer relationships, and hands-on experience. Today, the business has grown to a 7,000 sq ft facility at Foxfields Farm, Stonyhurst, with a 25-car showroom and 4,000 sq ft of secure and private storage.
Tom’s love of cars started young, growing up with a 1926 Humber 12/25 and weekends at hill climbs or touring Europe at 45 mph. He worked in modern car sales during his twenties, and in his spare time built and developed an Austin 7 Special to race at VSCC events. This blend of vintage mechanical know-how with modern sales experience led to the inception of Tom Hardman Limited, which has consistantly grown to the international business that you see today.
Tom still races today at Silverstone, Goodwood, and other historic events both in the UK and in Europe, keeping close to the cars, the community, and the latest trends—knowledge he brings to every client conversation. This connection with the world of motorsport means that Tom is well placed to locate and place rare and exclusive vehicles when they come to the market – or even beforehand.
