Recently Recovered History

As a result of a social media campaign whilst consigned with THL, history that had been seperated from the car came to light, detailing the car’s life in the 1950’s.

Purchased by a Dr Prosser in 1958 while studying at King’s College, London, this MG TA was fondly recalled by Dr Prosser in 2008 as a striking and well-presented example that served as both daily transport and a source of great pride.

During his ownership various maintenance works were undertaken — including re-spoking the wire wheels, replacing the hood and tonneau, and repairs to the rear axle and windscreen frame — all undertaken with the practical enthusiasm typical of the 1950s. He sold the car in 1960 prior to graduation, noting its fine condition and the pleasure it had given him.
