A 30/98 Built for Enjoyment, Community and Proper Use

The Vauxhall 30/98 has long been regarded as one of the definitive cars of the vintage movement, championed by the VSCC since its earliest days. Lighter and more agile than many contemporaries, the 30/98 remains a rewarding car to drive, whether on open B-roads or at long-standing venues such as Prescott Hill Climb. KL9616 fits comfortably into this world, having been assembled from a kit of parts long considered one of the best available, with a strong proportion of correct, original components.

Much attention was given to major mechanical elements. The OE-spec engine uses an original block and head, with the correct pattern crankcase. The axle and gearbox—sourced from OE205 and OE109—were rebuilt by Arthur Archer. The Peppercorn-built Velox body completes a car constructed with oversight from specialists known to the 30/98 community. Finished in navy blue with black leather, KL9616 is ready for touring, hillclimbs, or club events, including the very active 30/98 Register.
